Default New player reporting for duty

Hi everybody,
I bought Guild wars Trilogy from steam, and now if it is possible I am looking for someone who would play with me/answer my annoying questions and in best case after security check and all other stuff accept me to his/her guild. And absolutely wonderful would be if that person would be from Europe. Here comes first wave of questions.

1) When I my charcter will have two proffesions, will he have all aspects of both proffesions or will he be little weaker than pure proffesion?

2) Which class is most fun, and yet kinda challenging to play?

3) Anyone from Czech Republic here?

4) Are bonuses account wide or for just one char?

And last one for now.

5) Will I be able to play with my Prophecies char Faction campaign?

1. You're secondary profession will always be weaker than as if you were that actual profession for example Monk/Elementalist you will not have energy storage as an attribute but you can still use energy storage skills

2. The most fun it depends on your style of playing elementalist are good if you like seeing damage on your screen.

3. I can't really answer this 1 for you

4. If you mean bonuses like the fire imp then I believe so.

5. Yes you can take any character into any campaign you own.

1. Never weaker. An R is just as strong as an R/N if they use the same skills/attributes. What happens with the secondary profession is that you can supplement your skills. For example a ranger doesn't have a way to remove enchantments on his own, but if his secondary is necromancer, then he can choose a skill like Rend Enchantments to have that ability.

2. All subjective.

3. Not I.

4. They are account wide. typing /bonus will give those items to any character you use on that account.

5. Yes. When you get to the travel locations and do the associated quests then you can move to other campaign stories.

1. The purpose of a secondary profession is to fill in the gaps in your primaray profession as in the example Kumu Honua gave you. You lose the ability to put points into the main attribute of the secondary, making that group of skills weaker.

2. You will have eight character slots; try out all the professions to see which ones you enjoy. Visit the Campfire section and read the stickied basics threads in each subforum for information on professions and which secondaries are best with each one.

3. Visit the Guild Connections section and start a thread in the PvE Looking For Guild forum. Mention that you are new, in Czechoslovakia and what your goals are. Hopefully that will link you up with other players in your time zone. By the way, even the European players spend most of their time in the American Districts as they are more heavily populated.

4. Not only can the /bonus be used by any character, but you can use it over and over on the same character. This helps you supply not only yourself, but your brandnew heroes with some nice weapons. And the Fire Imp is great company.

5. Information about campaign travel can be found on this wiki page http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Campaign_Travel For in-game help just key F10 or Help on the Menu to access the wiki.

Welcome to a wonderful game and to guru - hope you have fun.

Everyone pretty much summed it up. hope you enjoy the game. It's been around and battered on for 5 years but there is so much to do when you're new you'll probably get enough out of the game that we all have so enjoy!

Welcome to Guild Wars.

You will find plenty of things to do since you are new. Good luck!

That's purely up to you. You don't need to actually put any attribute points into your secondary or use any of it's skills. So, a Warrior/Necro can be exactly like a Warrior/none. And, it would only be weaker if you make it weaker by using bad skill combos - it would not be inherently weaker.
Also, later in the game you can change your secondary, so don't worry about your choice too much.

That's purely up to your own playstyle. Pick whatever class sounds good to you, they're all fun to play - but a healing Monk or a Mesmer would maybe be the most challenging.

If you are talking about the items you get by typing "/bonus", they can be gotten by any character, and they can be gotten multiple times.
If you are referring to "titles", some are account wide, but most are per character.

Yes, once you get to Lion's Arch you can get a short quest that takes you to Factions. Once you've done the quest you can travel back and forth between the two using the "boat" on the map. This applies to Nightfall and similarly to EotN as well.
